SUCESSFUL GO-LIVE AT THE START OF THE YEAR

WCA provides significant support to Sycor in implementing a “mammoth project”

Walldorf Consulting AG experienced a start in 2022 that was as challenging as it was successful. After a processing time of roundabout nine months, the major go-live with SYCOR GmbH was successfully implemented. The partner, itself a consulting firm, among others in the SAP area, relied primarily on the method and solution competence of the WCA team in the cloud environment for this project. Specifically, the team led by Simon Flick, Member of the Board and Managing Director of WCA, provided consulting services as a development partner for the overall program and as an ERP partner. This was a complex task, as the aim was to ensure the connectivity of a total of seven SAP systems via cloud platform integration. The end result is now an innovative and high-performance public cloud solution: “It was a great experience with a great partner. Implementing a project like this in this timeframe is only possible in a trusting partnership. Since its foundation in 1998, SYCOR GmbH has grown steadily. Today, it has 550 employees at eleven locations spread over five countries. In order to continue on the successful path, innovations are also needed time and again to make everyday working life more comfortable and efficient for the employees. The state-of-the-art overall solution that SYCOR GmbH opted for was securely connected via single sign-on and is flexible in terms of scaling. An overall suite consisting of S/4HANA (Public) Cloud, SAP Sales and Marketing Cloud, SuccessFactors, Concur and the SAP Analytics Cloud was put live. This is connected in a hybrid interface landscape based on the SAP Business Technology Platform with around 30 interfaces to other cloud services and on premise systems.

The Sycor Business Platform has now been live for six weeks. “As a company, we will benefit from this project for a long time to come. This was made possible by the approximately 150 process participants from all Sycor departments as well as the external project partners who supported us along the way,” says Manfred Großmann, Vice President Corporate IT & Project Excellence at Sycor. “Many thanks to Simon Flick and his team for this pleasant and excellent collaboration.”
